Aquiles Priester is a celebrated metal drummer, who has won numerous awards for his impressive double bass drum technique. He became widely known after the release of his drum cover of the Metallica classic “Damage Inc.”, which received good comments on YouTube and other video sites.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Aquiles began playing drums at age five and kept honing his craft throughout school and college. His passion eventually led him to join several heavy metal bands throughout South America, including Hangar and Angra, with whom he recorded multiple albums and toured extensively in Europe and North America.
Today Aquiles continues to tour internationally with various metal acts while also teaching master classes on advanced drumming techniques. He inspires legions of fans around the world with his mesmerizing double bassdrum solos that showcase both speed and accuracy as well as musicality.
